Welcome to Brain Tease Math, operated by Enlightened Value Entertainment LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the application, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Brain Tease Math, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Children’s Use (COPPA Compliance)

Brain Tease Math is designed for users ages 4 and up, including children under 13.

For Users Under 13:

  • The app is intended to be used:
    • Under parental supervision, or
    • Within a school/classroom environment under teacher supervision
  • Parents or educators act as the responsible authority for the child’s use of the app

Parental Consent:

  • When required, verifiable parental or school consent must be obtained before collecting personal information (such as email)
  • Schools and teachers may provide consent on behalf of parents where permitted by law

We limit data collection for children to what is reasonably necessary to operate the app.

3. User Types

The Service may include different user roles:

  • Players (general users)
  • Students (linked to classrooms)
  • Teachers (educators managing classrooms)

Each role may have different access and responsibilities.

4. Accounts & Access

  • Accounts are optional
  • Anonymous use is available with limited daily access
  • Creating an account may require:
    • Email
    • Display name
    • Password (securely stored)

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

5. Gameplay & Access Limits

  • Free users may access a limited number of games per day (e.g., 5 plays)
  • Additional access is available through:
    • Subscriptions
    • In-app purchases (coins)
  • Classroom environments may provide expanded access

6. Subscriptions & Purchases

Subscriptions:

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
  • Billing is handled through:
    • Apple App Store (iOS)
    • Stripe (web)

Free Trial:

  • A free trial period (e.g., 3 days) may be offered
  • Users may receive reminders before trial expiration

Cancellation:

  • Subscriptions can be managed and canceled through your app store account

Refunds:

  • All purchases are non-refundable, except where required by law

7. Virtual Currency (Coins)

  • Coins are used for in-app purchases such as characters and customization
  • Coins have no real-world monetary value
  • Coins are non-transferable and non-refundable

8. Educational Features Disclaimer

Brain Tease Math includes:

  • Math challenges
  • Strategy-based games
  • Progress tracking and analytics

While designed to support learning, we do not guarantee educational outcomes or performance improvements.

9. Classroom & School Use

Teachers may:

  • Create and manage classrooms
  • Assign activities
  • View student progress and gameplay

Restrictions:

  • Student data may only be used for educational purposes
  • Teachers may not sell, share, or misuse student data

Parents and schools are responsible for ensuring appropriate use.

10. Data Collection & Privacy

We collect only limited data necessary to operate the Service:

Data Collected:

  • Gameplay and progress data (scores, XP, coins, etc.)
  • Email (only for accounts/subscriptions)
  • Device identifiers (for anonymous sessions)

We Do NOT:

  • Collect location data
  • Serve third-party advertisements

Data Access:

Data may be visible to:

  • The user
  • Their parent/guardian
  • Their assigned teacher (if applicable)

Children’s Data:

We take additional steps to protect children’s data and comply with applicable laws.

11. User Conduct & Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

  • Cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate gameplay systems
  • Use automated tools or unfair advantages
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract code
  • Share accounts to bypass limits or subscriptions
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems

Violations may result in suspension or termination.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • The app is misused

You may stop using the Service at any time.

13. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Users may request deletion of their account and associated data
  • Upon deletion, personal data will be removed unless legally required to retain it

14. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms
